Introduction

The 2^nd IAEA Research Coordinating Meeting (RCM) of the Coordinated Research Project (CRP) on "Joint Research Using Small Tokamaks" (restricted participation) (2006 RCM) will be held in Tsinghua University and hosted by SUNIST United Laboratory. The local host representative is Professor Yexi HE.

Participants

Meeting site will be in Tsinghua University in few minutes walking distance with hotel.

Hotels: Zi Guang International Exchange Center is the hotel for the participants of 2006 RCM. The rooms have been reserved from October 22 to October 27, 2006. The room rent will be charged according to the actual days you stay. If any participant will arrive Beijing early than October 22 or depart later than October 27, please inform us in advance.

Visa: It is anticipated that most participants of the 2006 RCM will attend the 2006 FEC. The Local Organization Committee of 2006 FEC will distribute the invitation letter for visa application, the duration days are 21 and arriving date is October 10. Participants planning to attend the 2006 RCM only, please contact us in advance for visa application.

Transportation

From Chengdu to Beijing: There are more than 20 flights, belong to five domestic airlines, between Chengdu and Beijing from 7 to 20:40 everyday. It will be taken 2 to 2:30 from Chengdu to Beijing, and the normal fare is 1440 RMB plus 50 RMB of tax, 60 for fuel additional. Different discount (from 60% or more off) will be offer, according to different tourist season and the days in advance to book.

From/to airport: The distance between Zi Guang International Exchange Center and Capital Airport is about 30 km. The nearest shutter (8:30 – 21:30, every 30 minutes from airport to "Zhong Guan Cun", line 5) stop from airport is "Zhong Guan Cun" (see Fig. 1). The shutter bus ticket is 16 RMB, and the taxi from "Zhong Guan Cun" to Zi Guang Center will charge 10 RMB. The taxi fare from airport to hotel is about 100 RMB plus 10 RMB highway fare according to the traffic condition.

City: One can obtain the public traffic, map and tourist information of Beijing from following web site. Fig. 2 shows Beijing Subways, the stop nearby Tsinghua University is Wu Dao Kou.
